The famed Mt Panorama was the setting for the NSW Hill Climb Championships, which opened the weekend’s racing events, with Lachlan Morton taking out the gold medal in a time 17 seconds faster than silver medallist and RAK team mate Sam Spokes. The newest recruit to the RAK program, 14 year old Jared Triggs, put in a strong performance finishing 5th in the same event, against riders 18months his senior. Perhaps more impressive than Morton’s win was the fact that his time was the second fastest time over all including the open men’s category.
